What is the Gospel?

Jesus in my place.

God

God is Holy and worthy of Glory.

"And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!""

Man

Man has sinned against God and deserves the wrath of God

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

Romans 3:23, ESV

Christ

Christ is the provision for man by the grace of God to be the satisfaction for sin.  Jesus is Savior and Lord. 

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

Ephesians 2:8–9, ESV

Response

The response to the good news of Christ is to repent and believe upon Christ.

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
